Our Team

Alex Peng, President

I’m Alex Peng. I’ve always enjoyed hiking and camping in the backcountry and coding small games and programs. I joined Education4Earth because I saw it as a great way to combine two of my interests while helping others.

Henry Bai, Vice-President

Hey! My name is Henry Bai and I am currently a senior. I was motivated to start Education4Earth from my experiences in China, where there was a significant lack of environmental education and awareness of climate-change related challenges. So, in 8th grade, I started a blog that I added to biweekly. Since then, it's become so much more than that! I've met so many incredible friends as we've built Education4Earth, many with the same share passions and aspirations as me. I'm excited to see what boundaries we'll push next for Education4Earth!

Kush Kodiya, Vice-President

Hello 🙂 I'm Kush Kodiya and I'm currently a senior. Since I was a kid, I've been an explorer; hiking in the woods, playing center in basketball, and of course a fast bowler in cricket. That same explorative energy came with me to Education4Earth, where I looked to find the intersections between computer science (another result of my explorations) and other fields, mainly environmental science.

Arav Puthraya, Head of Science & Environmental Events

I’m Arav Puthraya, a current senior in high school. I first joined E4E focusing on evolutionary biology and biology and am currently a program coordinator. I joined because I felt there was a need to help students in sharing ideas they might not have access to in their local community. Right now, my role in E4E is to provide students with the opportunity to achieve all education goals in their learning and to work with leaders from different chapters in developing classes.

Jake Friedman, Head of Outreach and Marketing

I’m Jake Friedman. I joined E4E because I find a great satisfaction in helping others accomplish their goals as learners. Currently I'm focused on the intersection between environmental science and biology for E4E and will continue to take on new subjects and students.

Samantha Thomas, Secretary

I’m Samantha Thomas. I joined E4E as a secretary of the environmental education program because I find it extremely important for students to know connections about the environment and their daily lives. Currently, I'm focused on the intersection between environmental science and biology for E4E and will continue to highlight connection through different topics.

Tatiana Boychenko, Secretary

I have great interest and care for the environment, and as president of the Environmental Club in my school, I do my best to spread awareness about environmental issues and organzize fundraisers and projects to help keep my community clean. I'd like to do the same for E4E, but on a larger scale!

Nicolas Baeta, Program Coordinator

Hi! My name is Nick Baeta. I make curriculums for our foreign students. I joined Education 4 Earth because I loved the idea of being able to make a positive impact locally and internationally across the world. I am super excited about the potential of this organization and I hope it can grow into something that makes the world a better place!

Grace Piro, Social Media Manager

Hi! I'm Grace Piro. I joined Education4Earth because I loved the initiative of giving back to our community both educationally and environmentally. It's been great to watch the organization grow and expand, and I can't wait to see where it's headed next!

Chapter Leaders

Ayna Tazhiyeva, Turkmenistan Chapter Ambassador

Hey, I'm Ayna Tazhiyeva from Turkmenistan the Chapter Ambassador of Education4Earth program. My love for the environment began in my early childhood. While other children played outside, I found peace spending my time with flowers and plants, taking care of them. This passion has stayed with me throughout my life. One day, I discovered the Education for Earth program. This program became the starting point of my journey as an English language teacher. After a month of dedicated learning and self-discovery, my efforts were recognized, and I was promoted to their social media best volunteer. Later, I was offered the chance to become a Chapter Ambassador for the program. This was a significant responsibility, but with the guidance and support of other people in Education4Earth, I was able to take on this challenge. Together with my fellow volunteers in Turkmenistan, we have been working hard to make this online program a success, and it continues to grow. This is just the beginning of our journey. If you share a passion for the environment and education, I encourage you to join us in making a difference.

Brilliant Mamedova

Hi! My name is Brilliant Mamedova. I am from Turkmenistan, Ashgabat. Currently I am in 11th grade. As for my hobbies playing a piano, reading a book and watching a movie will be my favourite ones. Education 4 Earth was a great way for me to reach out to my community and bring awareness of the biggest issues we face today and that led me to join E4E.
